Clara was born in Michigan, as we know from the Census records. Only one Clara Gentile appears in the Social Security Death Index records who registered for social security from Michigan. Obviously, this Clara could have registered in any state, but considering the time was the early 1950s, it is most probable she would have registered in her home state. Regardless, this singular Clara Gentile was born on July 22, 1914 and died on December 15, 1991. You will recall that the Clara Vander Heide listed in the 1930 census enumeration was recorded as being born about 1915 ? or, an excellent match considering the potential errors involved.
